During our science class today we learnt about skeletons and bones.

We learnt about how the different kinds of bones in our body.  I found out we had 300 bones when we are babies and now when we have grown so we only have 206. Our bones merge together like they were one already while we grow up. We also learnt if we damaged the nerves, we could end up being paralyzed which means we have to be on wheelchairs.

A friend is someone who would always be there for
you and who would always play with you and care
about you. A good friend would always stay by your side.

A good friend would never lie to you that they would always be
honest with you and they would never talk about you behind your
back. Say like if they talk about you in a rude way.

Good friends would play with you like playing gator
board, crocodile, tag, basketball,netball and soccer. They
might make up there own game and play it with other people
and you as well.

Friends have good games to play and they care about you so its
best to have some people around you. Make friends with people that a
friendly.

Some good friends would always play with you like your best friend
and it's always nice to havea best friend and good friends instead of being lonely.

My Favourite sport would be volleyball today i'm going to explain

how to play volleyball and the rules,skills and what clothes you would

need for volleyball.

The first rule in volleyball is that you can’t hit the ball more than once,

so for an example one of your teammates would hit it and then,you would

have to run a hit the ball or dive for it then hit the ball.Next rule is that only

six people can only be on the cough in a match.Three players have to be in

the front then the other at the back and you would have to keep rotating.Then

the next rule is points are made on every serve for winning team of rally.Next

rule is that you have to serve behind the line and if you go in front of it it's the

others team ball.That's all the rules I know for volleyball.

The basic volleyball skills are passing, setting, spiking, blocking, digging,

and serving. Passing is often thought of as the most important skill in volleyball.

If you can't pass the serve, then you won't ever put your team in a position to

score a point.

I really enjoy volleyball so much.I used to play for pt england school and all my

friends were there and in this school I want to join volleyball as well.

Safety Cycling

On Wednesday,Friday my class and I went cycling.We were there to l

earn how to cycle safely and we had to learn how to use signs when we

are riding the bikes.The coaches split us into groups.

So first we had to learn how to put on a helmet and learn the important

four S’s.The first s was the shell the shell help to protect your head.Next s

was styrofoam the styrofoam help the shell protect your head so for an example

the shell hit into something then the styrofoam would be the one to break instead

of your head.Next s Is the strips the strips holds the helmet in place on your head

and it also help to tighten it if the helmet was to big.The last s was stickers so when

you go to the shop  and if you need a helmet for your bike then you would go to the

shop and buy one but to make sure that it is a good helmet you have to look for the

stickers.

Next they tough us how to check our bike.So first we had to check if the tires were pumped up and the air wasn't coming out so that we could ride it.Next was the breaks we had to check the breaks so the we could stop if a cars coming or if we are about to crash into something and then that's when the breaks come in.Next was the chains we had to check

if it was rusty or not because if it was rusty it might get stuck while we riding the bike then we might fall forward.Last was the direction so we had to go in the front of the bike and put the front wheel between our legs and move the handles to check if the tires go in the same direction as the handles.

So after checking our helmets and bikes they tough us the signs for cycling.The first one was the sign to stop and so first you would put your fist out to let the people in front and at the back of you know that's your stopping.Next sign was to put your arm out with your hand open to tell people at the back of you and front which way you are going.next one was a shoulder turn so when you are riding the bike you have to check at the back of you to see if a car is coming.

After learning how to do all of those things the coaches made opsicals for us but we had to stay in our groups.The coaches for the groups made a demonstration for us.They use the signs and all those things we lernt.So after the demonstration we had to follow what they did.So yea we had our tern going and we had to start in a line and the line was long because there were more people in my group then the other group.

Then we went on the road and started to cycle.So first we would had a group go on to one side and the other group go on the other side of the road.So my group went across and then so one of the coaches went far down.The other coach stayed with us and told us what to do before we ride the bikes to the other coach.We had to have two terms each then after that we had to go around the cars that were parked in front of our way.

That's what we did when we went safety cycling with the coaches that came to teach us.

Kapa Haka Festival

On saturday the 24 some of my school went to the Kapa haka festival.

The festival was at raportaka and some students went on stage and did

a maori dance.My friends were dancing up there too like a true maori.

Basic Facts Prototec T4W1

I have improved this week because I had got a better score.

Last week I got 83 percentage and this week I got 85 percentage.

Hip hop lesson 2

Today my class and I went to hip hop lesson 2.

My friends and I sat next to each other on the floor.

First we all had to stretch but dancing because we

might pull a bone in our body.So Izzy put music on

then we followed what Izzy was doing.The song

made me feel like there were butterflies in my tummy

when I was dancing.

Then we all went to go play rock paper scissors but in

a dancing way.So Izzy put all of us into four groups.

I was in group three so Izzy called out group three and group one.The group has to work together to pick one.Our choice is rock,paper or scissors so my team

picked paper the other team pick scissors.Then it was team two and fours tern then team one came first next

place it was team two third place was team three and team four.

After all the groups lined up then we had to follow the leader

and the leader had to do moves then the other people had to

follow the leader.two groups sat down and they had two count

how much moves the other teams can do the score was seven. The two teams that got seven had to sit down and juge the other group.

Next we all sat down then she was showing us how to

do something with our hands.We followed her some boys

got it right and some girls.Then she tried it with music but

fast.I was really hard for us to do it.Then she went twice as

fast and I could see everyone getting it right.

Basic Facts T4W1

Today I did my basic facts assessment for term 4.I was happy that

I improved and I need to learn my division to move to the next stage.

At the end of the year I would want to be at stage 6.

Cousins Birthday

On Monday it was my cousins birthday.We were

all thinking that we should go to the restaurant.

First,my mom and I went to the shop and brought the

cake for the birthday.We bought a mud cake and we

put extra chocolate on the cake.Then we put the cake

in the container so it's there when we do the cake.  

Next, we all went to the restaurant to get our table and

sit down.Then some of us had to go on to another table

so they sit on the table next to us.We all waited for the

birthday boy to come.He came and he smiled a lot and

before I ate I always take a photo of my food and I use

my phone to take a photo.

Then,the adults went to go buy the food so we could start

eating.Then the adults went to go get the plaits and then

they made us the things we wanted to eat.There was chop suey,

hot chips,raw fish and ice cream and all those kind of things.

They were all yum but I liked the raw fish the most out of all the

things I ate.The smell of the raw fish made me think of eating a

big whole bowl of raw fish.

Finally, I could still taste the raw fish in my mouth.

After eating all that food we did the cake.Then we sang the

birthday song to him then he made his wish then blew the

candles out.Then we had some cake after that we cleaned

up and went home.

Tessellation

I have coloured in Tessellation and I used purple,green and orange.

For the first line going down I used purple in the squares then In the first box

I put orange at the top and the bottom.The green went on the other sides.

Then it changes when you keep going but in the third line I used green in the

middle then put purple were the green was supposed to be.A tessellation is a

repeated pattern that is my tessellation.

Cold and hot colours

This week Miss kerby  came into our class then then showed us
some art made by Karl Appis and showed us how to colour with
cold and hot colours.So we had to draw line everywhere then you
use bright colours that are hot and cold.

In term 3 I had 2P-Backwards

Today i didn't improve and i'm below the curriculum level.

I'm not happy so i have to learn more to get to a 4A.
