WALT: Write a persuasive speech.

Things I did well:

I had so many reasons to talk about cats are more better than dog.

My voice was clear.

Things I can do better:

I have to write more so it can stop at 3minit.

WALT:see if sugar can change from a solid to a liquid and if that can be reversed.

What we did?

First Mr Naidoo put some sugar into a cup.

Next he put some water with the sugar and he dissolved it into liquid.

Then he put the liquid in the frypan to try and get the sugar out of the liquid and the sugar came out and I did not now that.

School Holidays

pros                        Good    We are gonna stay home and sleep. Going to GI and buying stuff. We will listen to mum and dad.

cons                         Bad I don't want my parents to swear all the time. My brothers be notiy to my mum and dad.

DAYLIGHT SAVING IS COOL

SPRING FORWARD at the start of Daylight saving on the 24 september we move the clock  1 hour forward. FALL back. The end of  Daylight saving in April, we move the clock back an hour.

Green Arrow saves the city from a dragon

Green Arrow saves the city from a dragon.     

Once there were some people in the city who were buying groceries for their house . But they didn’t  know that an evil villain was coming to kill them but there was a man who was good at shooting and his name was green arrow. He had a bomb arrow, a normal arrow and a bow. He had a suit that was green so he went to go battle the dragon.  The dragon was blowing  fire on the city and green arrow shot the dragon with a fire arrow and the big dragon got  up but the dragon didn’t  die so he ran to his house and got his 3 water arrows , then ran back and went on the building and shot 1 arrow at the dragon and it was getting weaker so Green Arrow shot 2 and on the last one it died.

Daniel Faitaua

Daniel Faitaua came to Glen Innes School on Tuesday in the hall. He is on the news and he is in New Zealand.

During his talk Daniel said “that reading is so important because it will be a new start to your life.”             Books can inspire you to read more because you can learn more new words and new places.

Daniel also spoke about his sons and how one of them likes read about Sonny Bill. His sons like to take books on trips to read in the car while they are waiting.

We also learnt that Daniel spoke three languages Samoan, English and Japanese.  He learnt Japanese by reading picture books.

The Duffy Assembly was so interesting and I know now, how really important reading is.

THE TALE OF THE PUMPKIN

Once there was a little boy’s name is Bobby he plant some in the ground.

His pumpkin guru big a bigger than the other one’s so Bobby said we can have some pumpkin soup.Bobby tried to pull the pumpkin out of the ground so ’’Bobby asked William come over and help me”. So William and Bobby tried to pull the pumpkin out but they couldn't pull it out.

  

So Sonnia came to help Bobby and William they tried and tried and then it did not come out. So they shouted

I like songs because you can dance to it and you can write your own song. Like all of the author fans like Meghan Trainor, Bob Marley, Rihanna, Drake and these are all my fans cause these are my favourite songs that they sing.

I like watching the edge that is on tv number 11 and the edge is with all the songs too.

My simple machine

We had to make a simple machine so I wanted to make a well and that is a pulley. I made that because I already had the stuff to make it. I had some string and 2 bottle caps, green paper, wood that looked like  a long cylinder, popsicle stick and a gel container.

I am so sad to see the massive destruction of buildings  in Texas. Our prayers go out to you. We hope that you get courage to rebuild your homes.            

Howick Historical village

we played with toys that were made of wood. Some of the toys used gravity to show how it works. The man made was the person who created the toys out of wood.
